I hope these tees and buttons are more than just a package at your door. I hope they remind you it’s okay to wander + it’s okay to pause

HI, I’m Kelly and I’m not great with bios. Let’s start with that.

I grew up in the Midwest, but after college, I moved out to Aspen, thinking it would just be a year or two of fun, but 11 years later, two kids and a condo, we were still there. I spent my time in Aspen stretching my comfort zone in every way possible, trying new things, making some incredible memories. Life was simple for the most part. I spent seven years as a first grade teacher at Aspen Elementary (Go Skiers!) and the remaining four as a Reading Specialist. As our girls started to grow, we began to feel how far we really were from our “family.” We had made friends into family in the mountains, and we miss them greatly, but eventually we made the hard decision to come back to the Midwest. We moved to this town off Lake MI and then COVID hit.

Combine a move across the country, two new jobs, COVID and two toddlers and we were hanging by a thread. It was enough to make me take a pause, and reflect on where I am and where I want to go. I have always loved creating, but I’ll admit, I’m sometimes embarrassed by it. It doesn’t really fit the narrative people have for me and I’m a teacher by trade. I decided to take the year off to be with my kids during this strange time and I started just creating for fun until it slowly evolved.

At the end of the day, I really just want to be a happy human so that I can raise happy kids. That’s the most important thing to me.

I hope these tees and buttons are more than just a package at your door (although I do hope for that too) but rather remind you its okay to wander + it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to do things that scare you. I’m in your corner.
